Whether its a special weekend
for locals, group visits for skiing, outdoor
education programmes for schools or private
parties booking a fabulous fondue weekend,
Chalet Fougères is one of a kind. With a
capacity of 56 guests in multi-bedded rooms
and adjacent toilets and showers, plus two
comfortable en-suite twin rooms for
accompanying leaders, a games area, Chalet
Fougères is a home away from home. Each
group (minimum 20 guests) has exclusive use
of the chalet, catered to by a first class
tri-lingual French chef, (English and
Italian are his other two languages).
Situated in the picturesque alpine mountain
resort of Leysin, the chalet is on private
property, away from traffic but just a five
minute walk from the local train station,
about ten minutes from the principal ski
lift. A local bus serves the chalet
throughout the day taking guests all through
Leysin, if walking down beautiful paths
becomes a bit fatiguing (it's about 10-15
minutes walking to the bottom of the
village).
Sport facilities in Leysin, unrivaled in Switzerland, include, a huge indoor
ice rink, swimming pool, curling,
indoor/outdoor tennis courts, rock climbing
indoors/outdoors, great hiking trails,
mountain biking, indoor sports hall,
football pitch, squash courts and of course
ski pistes and "para-penting" (sky gliding).
